Project Rescue in asso. with S.E.A.L. ashram
Rotaract Club of Jai Hind College is proud to initiate a community service project – “PROJECT RESCUE”. This project is in alliance with SEAL (Social and Evangelical Association of Love).
SEAL is an NGO, engaged and dedicated to the purpose of rescuing destitute and homeless from the streets and railway stations of Mumbai.
SEAL goes way back in 1999, founded by Philip Pastor, who wholly and solely dedicated to rebuilding the lives of these, destitute and vagabonds on the streets, regardless of gender, age and ailments, in the wake and hope of a bright future with the help of unconditional love and care. It had a very modest and humble start in a rented room with a nine month old HIV positive boy rescued from a red light area.
In the quest to uphold its principle of “rescue those being led to death, hold back those staggering towards slaughter…”, it not only provided them with basic amenities of food, clothing and shelter, but it also strives to trace their families back home and reunite the lost and forsaken.
We, the members of RCJC have planned to extend a helping hand to this cause by way of donations. The donations would constitute of dal, rice and money for medicines.
The counters for collection of donations would be set up in the college campus on the 29th and 30th April, from 12.00 to 3.00 pm.
We would appreciate if you would support our venture and help the needy and make this project a success.
